“Loss”

Sonro is sent flying into a wall, making a major dent in the wall itself, he gets out of it just in time to avoid Shar’s next strike, he jumps and attempts to kick Shar in the head, but Shar moved too quickly for Sonro, grabbing his leg and throwing him too the ground. Outside, Sarian had run off during their fight, which pissed Rian off slightly.

“Bloody coward, since Sarian and his cronies are gone, no one is left, so Sonro can finish this mission off easily.” He says, walking away, heading back toward Resistance HQ. If only he knew how wrong he was, as Sonro was having a hard time fighting Shar, he crosses his arms to guard a punch, but Shar simply ran behind him and kicked him in the back, knocking Sonro to the ground.

“Don’t you get it Sonro?” Asked Shar, Sonro trying to get back to his feet, “You can’t beat me, I’m faster then you, stronger then you and overall a better fighter, even with the powers of Chaos.” He explains, Sonro gets to his feet and attempts to punch Shar.” Chaos Barrier!” Exclaims Shar, forming a barrier of Chaos energy, as soon as it went down, he continued his assault, with a kick to Sonro’s chin and one to his stomach, then a quick punch in the gut, knocking the wind out of Sonro, Shar walks past him as he slowly falls to the ground.” Perhaps I can get a better fight out of your resistance allies, what do you think of that Sonro?”

Dammit, I couldn’t beat him, Sonro thought to himself, taking note of how easily Shar had beaten him. There has to be a way, somehow, to beat him... He thought just before blacken out. When he awoke again, he was no longer in the room full of scrap metal, he was in a area quite different to it, but strangely familiar to him, it was largely a green field, which was above the top of a mountain, with patches of green leaved trees here and there.

“Your father liked this place.” Said a monotone voice, Sonro turned to its source, a grey hedgehog that was standing on the side of a cliff, looking up at the blue sky.” He knew that someday, you would have to enter this realm in a time of need, just as he did before you.” They continued, not turning to look at him, but continued to stare at the blue sky.” You are in a time of need, aren’t you Sonro?” Asked the grey hedgehog, which made Sonro curious.

“How do you know my name?” Asked Sonro, the grey hedgehog finally turned to him, walked over to and sat down so they were eye to eye.

“Just like I said, I knew your father, but you don’t know me, I am Beowulf, keeper of the balance between good and evil.” He explained.” So, are you going to answer my question, are you in a time of need?” He asked once again.

“Yes, I am, I need to be able to defeat a white hedgehog.” Answered Sonro.

“Shar, correct?” Inquired Beowulf, Sonro was surprised when he said that.

“How...how do you know that?” He asked, puzzled at Beowulf’s knowledge of Shar.

“I wouldn’t be much of a balancer, if I did not know the inhabitants of Mobius, would you like to know more about him?” He asked, Sonro nodded to answer,” All right then, he is a clone of you, while he may not look like you, he was created through Lazirios experimentations with DNA, to make a warrior capable of keeping up with and overpowering you.” He explains.

“So that’s where his speed and Chaos powers come from.” He said, he clenched his fists.” Okay, what do I need to do, if I am to defeat Shar?” He asks.

“It’s good to know that you’re eager to defeat him, and to do so, you will need to unlock an ancient ability, lost to the ages, the power of a Super Form.” Answered Beowulf.

“Okay, what do I need to do to unlock it?” He asks.

“First, you will need to prepare your mind, your body and you’re spirit for what is to come and to do that, you must fight with me.” Answers Beowulf, entering a fighting stance, Sonro doesn’t say another word and enters a stance as well. Meanwhile in Lazirios’s headquarters.

“Amazing, isn’t it Sarian, that Shar has accomplished in less then ten minutes what would probably have taken you another three years or maybe never have accomplished.” Says Lazirios, watching a recording of the battle between Shar and Sonro.

“I’m sure I could have done it in less time then three years.” He says.

“Don’t be ridiculous, if you can’t even have a one-sided battle with Rian, then there is no way you could have fought with Sonro on equal ground.” Says Lazirios with a tone of anger. Meanwhile, an hour later at Resistance HQ.

“Odd, Rian returned an hour ago, but Sonro has yet to return.” Said Salome, worried about Sonro, Caim is sitting at a table elsewhere in the room, when Rian suddenly bursts through the door, obviously in a rush.

“Rian, what in Chaos’s name is your rush?” Asked Caim. Rian took a moment to catch his breath before speaking, which worried Salome a bit.

“One of our raiding parties was returning from a successful raid on a supply depot, when a white hedgehog appeared and wiped them out, leaving only one to return with a message, his wounds have finished him off, but he delivered the message to me.” He explains, Caim looks at him with a look that was like saying what is the message then.” The message was, I am Shar the Hedgehog, the end of the petty resistance.” He said. Caim and Salome looked at each other, Salome with a deeply worried look on her face.
