Epilogue Part I “Finding Shar”

Sonro soon arrived at the Resistence’s base, and what a terrible state it was in. The entrance had been blown to pieces, as had the guards who were protecting it. He floats through, looking around at all the destruction. He then remembered something, Caim, Salome and Rian were here, and now, so was Shar. He flies through as fast as possible, trying to find Shar, before he finds the others.

Meanwhile, Caim and Shar were fighting, if Shar wasn’t as fast as he was, Caim would probably stand a chance. He was still managing to hold his ground, but he had no chance of stopping Shar’s high speed assult.

“Too bad Sonro is not here, isn’t it?” He heard Shar say, the next thing he knew, he had been attacked from several points, before falling to the ground.” So long, Caim, Chaos.…” Began Shar, before being tackled by something and sent flying away and smashing into a wall. Caim looked up and saw a red hedgehog with cyan stripes in his spines.

“Need some help Caim?” He heard the hedgehog say, the voice was familier, Caim couldn’t believe it.

“Sonro, what’s with the colour change?” He asks as Sonro helps him up.

“It’s my super form, neat huh?” Answers Sonro.

“S-Super form!?” Says Caim.

“Yeah, you should get out of here, leave Shar to me.” Says Sonro, Caim nods in agreement.

“It would appear he’s run off, he’s probably going after Salome and Rian.” Says Caim before walking away. Sonro clenches his fists before dashing off again. Meanwhile, Shar had indeed gone after Salome and Rian, and was almost upon them.

“Rian, can you feel that?” Asks Salome.

“Feel wha-!?” He starts before realising, Shar was on his way.” You go on ahead, I’ll handle this bastard.” He says, Salome hesitates.” I said go!” Exclaims Rian, she runs off. A moment or two later.

“So, where’s the girl?” Asks Shar.

“Like I’d tell you.” Says Rian, he jumps at Shar, who kicks him across the face, making him hit a wall. Shar then fires two Chaos Spears at him, knocking him unconscious.” Weakling.” He says before moving on, Sonro enters the area soon after.

“Damm, too late, he’s after Selome, Chaos Control!” He exclaims, warping Rian away before flying after Shar. He soon catches up, and finds Shar holding Salome up by her throat, choking her. Sonro felt something build up inside him. He started to change colour again, this time he became black with green stripes in his spines. After this transformation was complete, he warps next to Shar and grabs his arm, crushing it, then kicks him into the air, warps after him and hammer punches him down. Salome watches this, and can’t believe the sight that she is seeing. The Sonro she knows wouldn’t merciessly beat down a foe like Shar, he would have a honourable one on one battle. She runs up behind him and wraps her arms around his neck from behind.” Let go Selome.” Says Sonro in a dark threatening tone.

“No, the Sonro I know wouldn’t do this.” She says, Sonro tries to shake her off.” He wouldn’t resort to Lazirios’s methods.” She continues, Sonro stops trying to shake her off. She was right, the real him would never allow himself to use his tactics. He slowly reverted to his normal cyan and red stripes colouration.

"Shar." He says, Shar gets up again.

"What is it?" Asks Shar, Sonro holds out a hand and places it on Shar's broken arm and uses chaos energy to heal it.

"I'm willing to just end this, but it has to be in a one on one fight." Answers Sonro.

"I agree to your terms, but, how about we make this interesting?" Asks Shar.

"How so?" Asks Sonro.

"I win, you hand over the chaos emeralds and yourself to Lazirios, you win, I'll infiltrate Lazirios's HQ and take the Master Emerald, then return it to you, and I'll help your resistence friends in their plight." He explains.

"Hmm, that is interesting, it's a deal Shar." Says Sonro, the two of them warp back to the training room. It's now or never for Sonro.
